I’ve been thinking. This is from my personal journal, just this morning…

December. Three weeks out from my favorite holiday. One month until democracy dies in America. In what is usually my favorite time of the year, I find myself trying my hardest to not be paralyzed by fear. This is such a hard time for me, and it’s undoubtedly hard for so many other people as well. Not just hard, but frightening. The future is nearly impossible to think about because it feels like there won’t be one for a lot of us. We’ve seen this all before. We know how it unfolds, we know how it ends. There is nothing good coming for any of us, nothing good at all. And for those who think “Oh, things will be okay,” there’s going to be a painful awakening. We’ve seen this all before. We know how it ends.
